A bank in the UAE has alerted about a new scam that targets those seeking to get their airline tickets refunded due to pandemic-imposed travel restrictions.
In a Tweet, Emirates NBD said cybercriminals are posing as airlines offering ticket refunds to scam people.
Bank users are being urged to check the source of the airline’s e-mail, website and phone number before responding.
"Don’t make a fraudster’s job easy," the bank warned.
