UAE's public health situation remains 'stable' as it reviews Ebola developments

WAM

Authorities have confirmed that the public health situation in the UAE remains stable as it reviews the Ebola virus developments and reinforces its preparedness.

The statement was issued following a meeting chaired by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.

The review focused on the current epidemiological developments and the UAE's measures to ensure the safety of the community.

The authorities emphasised that the country's response arrangements and readiness remain active and effective.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier advised residents and UAE nationals to avoid non-essential travel to Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan during the ongoing situation.
