The world’s first university for artificial intelligence is proving to be a hit with students within just over a week of its launch in the UAE.

More than 3,000 people have already started the process of attending the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Abu Dhabi.

The majority of applications have come from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, India and China.

The facility in Masdar City will offer Master of Science and PhD level programmes in key areas of AI, with the first batch of classes starting in September 2020.

All admitted students will benefit from scholarships as well as a monthly allowance, health insurance, and accommodation.
