Drivers heading near valleys, flood zones or dams during rainfall are subject to a fine of AED 1,000 and 6 black points.
Meanwhile, those caught driving into flooded valleys regardless of water level or degree of danger are subject to AED 2,000 in fines, 23 black points and 60 days of vehicle impoundment.
The authority also added that any drivers who obstruct and prevent relevant authorities from carrying out traffic or emergency operations during crises, disasters and rainfall could receive a fine of AED 1,000, 4 black points and 60 days of vehicle impoundment.
