UAE to launch new monitoring stations to keep air pollution in check

Air quality in the UAE is coming under the spotlight, with the launch of eleven new monitoring stations. The Ministry of Environment and Water says they can now receive pollution data in real time. Authorities have also rejected a recent World Bank report claiming the UAE was “the country with the most polluted air”. Faheed Hareb, Director of Air Quality at the Ministry of Environment and Water says, the study was out of date.
