UAE sends more food supplies to Gaza as part of Humaid Air Bridge

WAM

The United Arab Emirates have sent a relief plane carrying more than 100 tons of aid and basic food supplies to the Gaza strip.

Leaving Sharjah International Airport on Friday morning, it is part of the UAE relief campaign of the “Humaid Air Bridge” initiative, which comes under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and in cooperation with Operation “The Noble Knight 3”, within the framework of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts.

The shipment included 3,300 parcels containing food supplies aimed at meeting the basic nutritional needs of residents in the Strip, within the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people.

It is part of a total of 1,000 tons that the authority will send as part of the Humaid Air Bridge and in cooperation with Operation Valiant Knight 3.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 is continuing its humanitarian and relief efforts, including operating a field hospital and the UAE Floating Hospital in Egypt’s Al Arish city, with a capacity of up to 100 beds and staffed by specialised medical teams across general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and intensive care.

Six desalination plants have also been established to supply water daily to Gaza.
