UAE sends 30 tonnes of urgent food supplies to Sudan

WAM

The UAE has airlifted 30 tonnes of food supplies to Sudan to support families affected by the ongoing conflict in the country.

The initiative, under the directives of the UAE leadership, will contribute to international relief efforts and help ease the humanitarian suffering caused by the current situation.

The conflict in Sudan has led to a severe shortage of many services and affected large segments of the population, especially the sick, children, the elderly, and women.

The UAE has been assisting the Sudanese people in various ways, including by sending an aircraft with essential supplies and food to Sudanese refugees on the Chad-Sudan border and working with the World Health Organisation to dispatch medical supplies from the International Humanitarian City in Dubai.
