People in the UAE reported feeling tremors on Saturday morning after a 6-magnitude earthquake struck southern Iran.

Several residents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi took to social media to report it.

"Was that an earth quake?! That's scary," wrote a resident who lives on the 11th floor.

Many living in Barsha Heights also shared their experience, with some debating about whether to evacuate or not.

In a Tweet, the National Centre of Meteorology said the quake hit at 7:37 am (UAE time).

Last week, a minor earthquake was reported in the UAE.
