UAE President pays tribute to Emirati martyrs

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has paid tributes to the Emirati soldiers who were martyred in Somalia, stressing their "sacrifices shall never be forgotten".

Taking to his official social media channels, the UAE leader extended his "heartfelt condolences to the families of the heroic Emirati servicemen" for making "the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Somalia".

"With honour and courage, they dedicated their lives to defending our nation and its values at home and abroad," Sheikh Mohamed wrote, adding," we pray they may rest in eternal peace".

Three members of the UAE Armed Forces and an officer from the Bahrain Defence Force were martyred in a terrorist attack in Somalia.
