UAE President holds talks with UK Prime Minister Starmer in Abu Dhabi

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has discussed the implications of Iran conflict on regional and international security and stability with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

During the meeting, the two leaders also looked at its impact on maritime security, energy supplies and the global economy.

They also discussed the recent Iranian attacks in the UAE and other countries in the region, noting that it constitutes a violation of sovereignty, international law and the UN Charter.

Starmer, who is in the UAE as part of his three-day Gulf visit, reiterated the UK's condemnation of the attacks and affirmed its solidarity with the UAE regarding the measures being taken to safeguard its security and sovereignty.

The two leaders also reviewed the progress of UAE–UK relations and explored opportunities to further strengthen cooperation.

Starmer also met with Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to discuss the latest regional developments, affirming their support for efforts to enhance the region's security and stability.

The UK Prime Minister earlier met with leaders of Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
