President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated his call for unimpeded delivery of aid to Gaza during his talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo.

The two leaders emphasised the need for intensified efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire, and for international action to support the political process based on the two-state solution.

During their meeting, the leaders reaffirmed the depth of relations between the UAE and Egypt and explored opportunities for further collaboration within the framework of the strategic partnership that unites the two countries in the economic, development, and political fields.

They also expressed their keenness to maintain ongoing consultation and coordination between the UAE and Egypt to ensure improved stability, security, and peace in the region.

El-Sisi hosted an Iftar in honour of Sheikh Mohamed's Cairo visit, and later bid farewell to the UAE President at the airport.
