UAE President concludes state visit to Germany

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has departed Munich at the end of a multi-day state visit to Germany.

During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed held talks with German leaders on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across key sectors, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.

The visit also focused on expanding trade and investment ties. The two sides welcomed the establishment of a German-UAE Investment Council, which will provide a platform for closer cooperation between the public and private sectors.

They also welcomed the outcomes of the UAE-Germany Business Forum and the resumption of the Joint Economic Committee.

Key agreements were signed between UAE and German companies, including 29 memoranda of understanding and commercial agreements worth more than 9.35 billion euros.

A major announcement was a UAE investment package of 40 billion euros in Germany, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to expanding its investments and strengthening economic ties with the country.

The UAE and Germany also expressed support for a comprehensive and ambitious free trade agreement between the UAE and the European Union, saying it would bring economic benefits to both sides.

The visit reaffirmed the two countries’ shared commitment to economic prosperity, innovation, future technologies, sustainable development, peace and security.
