UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis have discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across key sectors, including economy, AI, tech and renewable energy.

According to national news agency Wam, the leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during a phone call.

The leaders also reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest, exchanging views on developments in the Middle East and ongoing efforts to promote security, stability, and peace across the region.

On July 21, delegations from the UAE and Greece held a second round of political consultations in Athens, underscoring the need to expand cooperation across key areas, including political, economic and strategic fields.

They also exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation at the European level, with Greece offering support as the UAE and EU work towards a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Both sides explored ways to continue close cooperation in the multilateral arena, including at the UN.
