The Emirates Red Crescent has distributed Iftar meals for thousands of people in the Philippines during the holy month of Ramadan.

The meals were handed out at a number of mosques and orphanages in Manila, Maharlika and Markina.

The operation was overseen by Mohammed Obaid Al Qattam, UAE Ambassador to Philippines.

The UAE Ambassador emphasized the country's support for the Philippines, echoing the values of giving advocated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
