Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has discussed strengthening cooperation with his New Zealand counterpart Winston Peters during a phone call on Wednesday.
The two diplomats looked into opportunities to advance joint cooperation across key sectors within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two countries.
The agreement was signed in January 2025 with plans to reduce barriers to trade, enhance customs procedures and facilitate increased private sector collaboration and investment.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the strong ties between the two nations and the mutual commitment to further develop and achieve greater progress and prosperity for their peoples.
Both sides also reviewed the latest regional and international developments and exchanged views on issues of shared interest.
