UAE National Day: 219 prisoners pardoned in Ras Al Khaimah

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 219 prisoners.

It comes ahead of the UAE's 49th National Day celebrations.

Sheikh Saud's directive is aimed at giving the inmates a second chance in life and helping them return to their families.

The release order will be implemented by the Attorney-General of Ras Al Khaimah in coordination with Ras Al Khaimah Police.
