The UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced the death of a 49-year-old cancer patient who was recently flown in from the Gaza Strip.

The patient was suffering from an advanced stage of breast cancer and upon her arrival was immediately transferred to a specialised healthcare facility.

In a statement, the MoHAP said the 49-year-old faced several health complications and upon transfer, her health deteriorated despite the best efforts of the medical staff.

The ministry extended its condolences to the grieving family, and reaffirmed its commitment to providing top-tier healthcare services to all patients.
