UAE to equip one million Lebanese in AI skills under new partnership

A newly launched government partnership will see the UAE share expertise to equip one million people in Lebanon with artificial intelligence skills. 

It comes following the meeting between Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Launched under the Government Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP), the "One Million Lebanese AI Experts" will enable participants with fundamental and practical skills in generative AI and prompt engineering, including how to formulate instructions and guide AI tools to produce accurate and effective results.

The initiative will be open to Lebanese of different ages, backgrounds and roles.

During the meeting, the two sides also looked at ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
