In celebration of the World Humanitarian Day on August 19, the UAE's Ministry of Community Development has announced the launch of the '100 Good Deeds' campaign.

The initiative, which runs for 100 days, is calling on everyone in the UAE to get involved in an act of kindness or compassion.

These will be widely shared on social media platforms to help create a ripple effect and encourage others around the world to do the same.

The campaign also supports the #UbuntuLoveChallenge spearheaded by Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Vice President of the International Publishers Association (IPA), and philanthropist Mamadou Toure.

Since its debut in May 2020, the global movement has garnered the participation of high profile local and international personalities from different walks of life.

Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development, said that the Ministry’s support of the #UbuntuLoveChallenge stems from the culture of humanitarian principles and values that it embraces.

Ubuntu, which translates to, 'I am because we are' is an ancient African mantra that centres on the concept that we are universally connected; and because of this shared bond, we need to tap into our innate power, and act with humanity towards others who deserve it.
