The Ministry of Interior has confirmed the UAE's full readiness to secure the safe return of students to school starting Monday, with a comprehensive traffic plan outlined with relevant authorities to ensure road safety and smooth traffic flow.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the ministry noted that the Federal Traffic Council has intensified traffic presence around schools and on major roads during the students' arrival and dismissal.

The direction aims to regulate traffic movement, reduce accidents, and facilitate the movement of school buses, alongside ensuring the safety of pedestrian crossing for students.

The council further urged drivers to remain attentive while driving, reduce speeds near schools, and comply with traffic laws, including coming to a complete stop when the school bus's "Stop" sign is extended.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has also conducted field visits to schools and universities in efforts to assess their readiness and ensure they meet the highest safety standards for a smooth return.
