A flight from Abu Dhabi to Washington was forced to make an emergency landing in Ireland after smoke emitted from a passenger's tablet.
In a statement to ARN News, Etihad Airways said flight EY131 has diverted to Dublin as a precautionary measure.
They said the situation was managed swiftly by the crew and the aircraft landed safely in Ireland.
Upon landing the device was removed before the flight continued to Washington.
Recently Etihad Airways said passengers can only travel with MacBook Pro laptops in their cabin baggage and not their checked-in luggage.
