The UAE has expressed its solidarity with Spain after a train collision in its southern region killed at least 40 people and injured several others.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the Spanish government, and the people of Spain over this tragedy and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured.

A total of 43 reports of missing persons have been filed as of Tuesday at police headquarters, according to Reuters. Experts say a faulty rail joint might be key to determining the cause of the crash.
