UAE, Cyprus discuss strengthening strategic partnership

WAM

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held talks with his counterpart from Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides in Abu Dhabi, discussing bilateral relations and ways to advance cooperation, in key sectors like economy and trade.

Both sides affirmed their shared commitment to achieving the goals of this partnership in a way that brings growth and prosperity to their people.

Christodoulides, who is on a working visit to the UAE, reiterated Cyprus’ condemnation of the Iranian attacks against civilians, facilities and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and countries of the region, which constitute a violation of state sovereignty, international law and the UN Charter.

The leaders also reviewed the developments in the Middle East region and their serious repercussions on regional and global security and stability.
