Eid Al Fitr holidays have been announced for private sector workers in the UAE.

According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), private establishments will be off from the 29th day of Ramadan (Monday, April 8) until Shawwal 3.

This means that the holidays will run until Thursday, April 11, or Friday, April 12, depending on when the crescent moon is sighted.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) had earlier announced a one-week holiday (Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14) for ministries and other federal entities.
