UAE confirms conditions for performing Hajj

WAM

Authorities in the UAE have announced the requirements for pilgrims planning to perform Hajj this year.

Applicants must be under the age of 65 and they must not have performed the pilgrimage before.

In addition to receiving the approved vaccine shots and a booster shot, pilgrims are also required to submit the negative result of a PCR test taken within 72 hours before arriving in Saudi Arabia.

Priority will be given to those who meet the conditions, are registered in the Hajj e-system, and whose data has been previously updated.

The guidelines that have been released by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE), are in in line with the regulations announced by Saudi Arabia last month.
