The UAE on Monday condemned the "terrorist attack" in the US state of Colorado that left eight people injured.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed that the UAE expresses its strong condemnation of these "criminal and terrorist acts" and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and targeting innocent people.
The Ministry wished the injured a speedy recovery and reaffirmed the UAE's solidarity with the government and people of the United States.
A 45-year-old man has been charged after he threw incendiary devices during a rally calling for the return of Israeli hostages from Gaza. Of the eight injured, at least one is in a critical condition, authorities said.
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser said it appeared to be "a hate crime given the group that was targeted".
