UAE announces 568 new cases of COVID-19, 5 deaths

The UAE has announced 568 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 39,376.

That's according to Dr Amna Al Dahak, the official spokesperson of the UAE Government, who spoke at a press briefing on Monday.

This comes after more than 32,000 COVID-19 tests were conducted nationwide.

Dr Amna revealed that five more people have died, which makes the total number of deaths caused by the coronavirus 281 in the country.

Meanwhile, 469 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 22,275.

Dr Amna clarified that based on the recent figures, there are currently 16,820 active cases in the UAE.
