UAE announces 164 new cases of COVID-19, 248 recoveries

There are 164 new cases of COVID-19 in the UAE, which brings the total number of cases to 61,163.

That's according to Dr. Omar Al Hammadi, the official spokesperson for the UAE Government, who spoke at a press conference on Monday. 

This comes after more than 27,000 tests were conducted nationwide.

Dr. Omar said that the ministry has recorded no new deaths caused by the virus for the third day in a row, which means the death toll remains 351 in the country.

He also clarified that 248 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 54,863.

This means that there are currently 5,949 active cases in the UAE.
