WAM

Officials from the UAE and Qatar have met for a fourth time in Abu Dhabi to follow up on the implementation of the AlUla Declaration, issued by the GCC Summit in Saudi Arabia in 2021.

They discussed joint mechanisms and procedures and stressed the importance of enhancing relations between the two countries, to achieve their common interests.

The UAE delegation was headed by Ali Saeed Matar Al Neyadi, while the Qatari counterpart was led by Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The AlUla declaration was signed with the aim of bolstering Gulf unity and also marked the end of a dispute between Qatar and its neighbours.
