The UAE Ambassador to Argentina, Saeed Abdullah al-Qamzi, met with the General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, on Monday.
During the meeting, they underlined the close relations between the two countries and the importance of exchanging visits to enhance bilateral relations, and they discussed files of mutual interest.
Al Qamzi affirmed the UAE’s keenness to fortify collaborative efforts across various fields, which contribute to strengthening the bonds between the UAE and the Argentine Republic.
For her part, Karina commended the strong, deep-rooted ties between both nations, and the positive and continuous cooperation at all levels. Furthermore, she underscored opportunities to further develop and advance collaboration in various sectors.
The United Arab Emirates established diplomatic relations with Argentina in 1974 and set up its Embassy in Buenos Aires in December 2008.
Over the years, several bilateral agreements were signed on taxation, investments, and visa exemption, as well as on cooperation on food and agriculture, commerce, and sports.
