UAE allocates $10 million in emergency aid for Nepal

The UAE is providing $10 million in emergency humanitarian aid to help people affected by devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.

The assistance, allocated through the UAE Aid Agency, comes under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The floods and landslides have caused dozens of deaths and injuries, with others still missing, while causing widespread damage.

The UAE Aid Agency says its teams are working with local authorities and international organisations to make sure assistance reaches those most in need.

Chairman Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Amiri said the UAE remains committed to humanitarian solidarity and international cooperation, and stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to support communities affected by natural disasters and emergencies.
