The UAE's national carrier Etihad Airways has temporarily suspended flights to Tel Aviv, in response to the ongoing conflict in Israel.

“Etihad is monitoring the situation in Israel and continues to maintain close contact with authorities and security intelligence providers,” it said in a statement issued on Saturday.

The first flights affected are EY598 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Tel Aviv (TLV) and flight EY599 from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi on Sunday 16 May, which have been cancelled.

It added that the safety of its guests and crew is the carrier's number one priority and it regrets any inconvenience caused by this cancelation.

Meanwhile, flydubai says it has consolidated some of its flights to Israel due to demand.

It's currently operating up to three daily flights between Dubai International (DXB) and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport International Airport (TLV).
