A UAE humanitarian ship carrying more than 7,300 tonnes of aid for Gaza has arrived at Al Arish Port in Egypt, as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, officials said on Wednesday.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship is delivering food supplies, shelter materials, winter clothing and nutritional supplements for children and women, in response to urgent humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip.
The shipment was dispatched in line with the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and forms part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to support civilians affected by the conflict, particularly children, women and the elderly.
The ship’s arrival was overseen by Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt. Egyptian authorities have begun unloading the aid in preparation for its onward delivery to Gaza, in coordination with humanitarian partners.
Several UAE charitable and humanitarian organisations contributed to the shipment, reflecting a coordinated national effort to ensure the rapid and organised delivery of relief in line with international humanitarian standards.
The UAE said the operation underscores its continued commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and easing the humanitarian impact on civilians in the Gaza Strip.
