Two trekkers airlifted from Ras Al Khaimah mountain

The Air Wing Division of Ras Khaimah Police has rescued two climbers, one with a broken leg, stuck at an altitude of 4,500 feet.

Colonel Tayar Abdullah Ali Al-Shahi, the head of the air wing department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said that after a report was received in the Operations Room a helicopter was dispatched to the area and the two were transported to hospital for necessary medical care.

Al-Shahi stressed the importance of mountaineers to be aware of their environment, exercise caution and adhere to all preventive measures for their safety and well-being.
