Two Dubai policemen have been honoured for going the extra mile in their line of duty.

First Corporal Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad went out of his way to help a bus driver whose vehicle broke down in the middle of the road.

Meanwhile, Marwan Al Muamari's quick-thinking helped arrest a suspect, who tried to smuggle an illegal item, into the detention centre at Al Qusais police station.

The officers were presented a certificate of recognition by the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri.
