Travellers are failing to consider most common hazards

Many regional business travellers are failing to consider more common hazards like road safety and poor medical infrastructure while travelling - they are focusing instead on terrorism related incidents widely covered by the media. That’s according to a new study conducted by the research firm YouGov. Data reveals 43% of travellers judge the safety of their destinations while 39% consider political uncertainties. Only 4% think about road safety or about medical infrastructure, both factors far more likely to affect travellers adversely abroad. According to World Health Organisation figures Iraq and Oman are two of the top 10 most dangerous countries in the world for driving.
