Motorists in Sharjah are being advised to plan ahead after the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) announced a temporary traffic diversion as work continues on roads serving the future Etihad Rail station.
It will affect traffic between University City and Ard Al Maahid from Saturday, July 4 until Sunday, August 23.
The changes form part of the Etihad Rail Station Access Roads Project, which is designed to improve infrastructure, strengthen road connections and enhance traffic flow around the future passenger rail network.
The SRTA says approved alternative routes will be in place throughout the works and has urged motorists to follow diversion signs and traffic instructions to help maintain safe and smooth journeys.
The authority has apologised for any inconvenience and thanked road users for their cooperation while the project is completed.
