New employment laws to come into effect next year have been issued by the Ministry of Labour. The revised rules are set to offer greater flexibility for workers, according to the Minister of Labour, Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash. The three decrees, which begin on January 1, focus on work contracts, which must be ministry-approved, the termination of those agreements, and the granting of new permits. The aim of the new rules is to develop the relationship between the employer and employee.
