A teenager in Ras Al Khaimah has been arrested following reports of reckless driving.
The 18-year-old, who only received his licence less than six months ago was detained after local residents complained to police about a car performing stunts on the highway.
Initially, the driver was found to have fled the scene, but officers tracked the individual down and made the arrest.
The careless youngster was apparently scaring other road users and causing damage to public property with his father's car.
The motorist has been referred to the RAK traffic prosecution for legal action.
