Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the 'Takamul Permit' to integrate the luxury transport and car rental sectors, aiming to enhance the city's transport services.

The initiative allows seamless collaboration between limousine and car rental companies, enabling residents, tourists and visitors to hire luxury cars with chauffeurs for up to a month.

The permit establishes a flexible regulatory framework, ensuring smooth operations for both companies and customers in Dubai’s car rental market.

"It facilitates seamless collaboration between limousine transport companies and car rental firms, enabling the temporary use of luxury cars while fostering mutual benefits between RTA and the business sector," explained Jamal Al Sadah, Director of Commercial Transport Activities at the RTA’s Licensing Agency.

"Companies utilising this service must adhere to the terms and conditions governing the hire and operation of light vehicles as well as the regulations for deluxe passenger transport in Dubai. This includes registering rental contracts, enrolling deluxe transport companies, and listing drivers in the electronic Transport Activities Rental System (TARS)," he added.
