Sports event in Dubai fined for flouting COVID-19 safety rules

The Dubai Economy has penalised organisers of a sports event for not complying with the safety rules that have been put in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

In a Tweet, the authority said no warnings or closure orders were issued in the latest COVID-19 safety inspections. 

A total of 542 businesses inspected were found to be fully compliant with the safety measures.
