Some schools in the UAE, including Wellington International School in Dubai, will switch to remote learning on Thursday due to heavy rainfall across the country.

GEMS Winchester School in Fujairah and GEMS Westminster School in Ras Al Khaimah also made similar announcements, adding that online learning will be offered for two days.

It comes after the Ministry of Education activated online learning for government schools in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah until January 27.

Meanwhile, Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) said schools were operating normally on Thursday.
