An ambitious year-long initiative has been rolled out in the UAE to boost the skills of the Emirati workforce.
The ‘My Skills 12x12’ campaign has been launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
It will focus on 12 different skills that will help strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading player on the world stage.
Scientific knowledge, creativity, critical thinking, leadership and communication are among the priority areas.
Every month will be dedicated to learning and developing a specific skill, and the scheme will be implemented through workshops, lectures, and training sessions.
It's the first in a series of programmes to be implemented under the Strategy for the Advanced Skills National Programme, approved by the UAE Cabinet on Sunday.
