Indonesia's President Joko Widodo is in the UAE on a state visit.
He has held talks with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
During the meeting at Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders focused on bilateral relations as well as the latest regional and international issues of mutual interest.
As many as 16 agreements have been signed between the countries.
The Indonesian President stressed his country's keenness to enhance relations with the UAE in various aspects.
He added that the Emirates plays a crucial role in supporting development and peace in the region, which is appreciated globally.
Widodo is scheduled to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Week on Monday.
