Sheikh Mohamed urges India and Pakistan to seek dialogue

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has urged the leaders of India and Pakistan to act wisely.

Sheikh Mohamed spoke to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan over the phone on Thursday. 

His Highness emphasised that the UAE is keen to ensure peace and stability between the two nations, noting their common historical and cultural ties.

In a tweet, the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince stressed the "importance of dealing wisely with recent developments and giving priority to dialogue and communication".

Earlier on Thursday, Imran Khan announced the decision to release captured Indian Air Force pilot on Friday as a gesture of peace.
