Sheikh Abdullah praises progress of UAE National Defence College

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates' National Defence College.

Alongside Major General Saeed Salmeen Al Alawi, Commander of the National Defence College, Sheikh Abdullah congratulated the delegation on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the unification of the armed forces.

He stressed the vital role that the college plays in supporting the national defence system through preparing and qualifying national competencies and enhancing their readiness in strategic and vital fields, in a way that contributes to protecting the interests of the state and preserving its gains.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah was briefed on the academic and training programs offered by the college, which focus on developing skills in analysis and strategic planning, seeing students capable of dealing with various future challenges and changes.

Sheikh Abdullah praised the efforts of the administrative and teaching staff, and the keenness of the college’s members to acquire modern knowledge and future skills, which enhances and supports the comprehensive development of the country.

He also praised the college’s initiatives and its diverse partnerships with a number of prominent institutions, in service of national goals and the future aspirations of the UAE.
