Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has participated in a meeting convened by US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) in New York.
Foreign ministers and leaders from Arab and Islamic countries, including Jordan, Qatar, Turkey, Syria, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, and Oman, also attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed current regional developments and the situation in the Middle East, looking into ways to consolidate security and stability and achieve economic prosperity and development.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE's support for regional and international efforts to de-escalate and establish lasting peace.
He also commended Trump's efforts to advance peace and development in the Middle East, and underscored the strategic relationship between the US and UAE.
