Sharjah Police have warned against circulating photos and footage related to the murder of a young Arab woman who was stabbed to death in the emirate last week.

The authority said it will take action against anyone found guilty of such irresponsible behaviour that does not care about the emotional state of the victim's family.

Officials also emphasised that it’s illegal to circulate pictures or videos of crime scenes in general.

Police had earlier revealed that the 20-year-old woman’s body was found inside her abandoned car on Friday afternoon.

The murder suspect was caught within two hours of being alerted to the victim’s disappearance.

Police said the man had confessed to the crime during interrogation, due to what he termed was a personal dispute.
