Sharjah drawing up new standards for urban planning

WAM

Further steps are being taken to turn Sharjah into a safer and more sustainable place for communities.

The emirate is working on new architectural design standards for its streets and neighbourhoods.

The plans will ensure better access to public transport and help improve pedestrian safety.

Streamlining roadworks and introducing eco-friendly construction standards are some of the other priority areas.
