Sharjah has announced four-day workweek for its government entities from January 1, 2022.

Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm from Monday through Thursday.

Accordingly, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will form the new weekend.

Making the announcement, the Executive Council of Sharjah said the changes are in line with the UAE government's recent decision to adopt a shorter workweek to "boost productivity and improve work-life balance".
